Only a few European machine and plant manufacturers have so far been able to equip gigafactories with their machine and plant technology solutions, which do not have to shy away from competing with Asian technology in terms of price. Over the past 15 years, Eirich has established solutions for wet electrode production on the market, which have been increasingly standardized and modularized based on the knowledge gained from the production systems in order to make the installation, commissioning and ramp-up of gigafactories faster and more economical for its customers. At the same time, solutions for the production of dry electrodes were developed and scaled up to the gigafactory scale, which have already been installed in large pilot plants and are being requested by more and more customers. 

With both manufacturing processes, Eirich customers save millions in investment and operating costs and can also optimize their electrode production in terms of CO2 emissions. The presentation will provide an insight into the machine and system concepts and explain how energy and CO2 savings of over 90% can be achieved compared to conventional technology.
